Classic Sake-tini
2½ parts Gekkeikan Sake
1 part premium vodka
Shake well over ice and strain into
a chilled martini glass. Garnish with
thin slices of Japanese cucumber.
Pineapple Sake-tini
2 parts Gekkeikan Sake
3 slices fresh pineapple
½ part fresh lime juice
¼ part simple syrup
Muddle the pineapple in a mixing glass. Add the
other ingredients and shake well over ice. Fine
strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish
with a slice of fresh pineapple.
Sake & Tonic
3 parts Gekkeikan Sake
2 parts tonic
Serve in a tall glass over ice, garnish
with a lemon wedge.
Kyoto Breeze
2 parts Gekkeikan Sake
½ part cranberry juice
1 part fresh grapefruit juice
Peel from ¼ a grapefruit
Peel from ½ a lemon
1 bar spoon sugar
Muddle the grapefruit peel, lemon peel and
sugar in a mixing glass. Add Gekkeikan Sake,
grapefruit juice and cranberry juice. Shake well
over ice and fine strain into a tall glass with
fresh ice. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Wasabi Mary
2 parts Gekkeikan Sake
3 parts tomato juice
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes Tabasco
Pinch of wasabi
¼ part fresh lemon juice
Pinch of salt and pepper
Stir all the ingredients in a mixing glass with
ice. Strain and pour into a tall glass with fresh
ice, garnish with a celery stalk.
Sake Screwdriver
2 parts Gekkeikan Sake
3 parts freshly squeezed orange juice
Serve on the rocks and garnish with
an orange slice.
